The Blessings of Oklahoma

Alright, so I don't know if this is a blessing or not...but whilst in Tulsa we went to eat at Ihop and were blessed with this little nugget...Yeah, he was the entertainer~~ a balloon maker...

A few weeks later I came across THIS gem on People of Wal-Mart. He is REAL people, and it is obvious that he looks like this all of the time. Good job Oklahoma...

Three Years, sucka!

When Holt and I were engaged we had someone tell us that we wouldn't make it past three years; Proved you wrong "foolish sucka"

For our anniversary I thought I would be like Holt and try to step it up and I booked us a weekend in Tulsa. An attainable getaway.
We went to the Aquarium in Jenks ~just outside of Tulsa~

SO FUN!!!These were just a few of the fishes...There were open tanks where you were able to touch all up on the fishes, SHARKS, STING RAYS, crabs, "scrimps" and star fish.

We stayed at the Hilton just over one night...we would have stayed at aLoft, but the one up in Tulsa doesn't open until February, but you can bet we'll stay there in the future.

It was a really nice weekend to spend with my man. I LOVE my Holt, and I am one lucky lady.

Dallas was GREAT!!!
Holt found the BEST hotel; mad props to whoever told him about aLoft hotels. Pretty sure from now on out we just want to stay in this line of hotels.

Happy Happy Birthday Lindy Dear...

My birthday was wicked awesome this year...

Probably one of the best ones I have had in some time!
I had to work, unfortunately, but it turned out to be a good day.
It was my ONE YEAR anniversary at Allegiance; my birthday (obviously); and then I was awarded EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH!!! WOO!!!(I look nasty...)
And the day kept getting better from there...My parent sent me some beautiful flowers! They are so thoughtful, what with me being states away...
Then Holt spoiled me rotten... He made me a special flower bouquet, with a vase that he decorated himself...A gift box filled with my FAVORITE My Little Pony fruit snacks (27 of them to be exact), juice boxes, Coraline, Space Balls, and a HOMEMADE card [featuring Flight of the Conchords]! Seriously, he stepped up birthday expectations from now on out. I was so impressed, almost started to cry.
And that wasn't the last of my birthday. That night we went out to get sushi (DELICIOUS), and then that weekend we went to Dallas as a part of my gift...(told you Holt is AWESOME)

Defying Gravity

WICKED!!!!!!
I am not a big Musical person...I don't have anything against them, I just don't listen to them much...
...so when my friend Heather asked me if I wanted to go to Wicked I said yes, not really knowing anything about it...
(I said yes primarily because I'm a brat and wanted to rub it in to my mom and sister that I got to go and they didn't...yep, I said I am a brat)
BUT!
I am so glad that I said yes!!!
I totally LOVED it!

I love myself some Kristen Chenoweth [due to Pushing Daisies (RIP)] and just wish that I could see her perform Glinda. I really REALLY loved the whole thing!

I went with Heather, her mom, sister and friend Jessy. We had a good time...(Heather and her sister witching it up)
It was up in Tulsa and my second trip up there, but the first time where I got to site see a little bit. We went to Utica Square [an awesome outdoor shopping center] we got ourselves some Pf Changs and then I saw this...

So again...We visited Pops, this time we went with our friends Heather and Chad!!!!It was kind of a bummer because there was a storm earlier that day and I guess it effected the power so therefore...the spectacle of the GIANT bottle light show was not on (Heather and Chad hadn't been there before so it was a bummer)...
...but!!!!...
We did find KITTY PIDDLE!!!!

Don't you just want to drink it up???
Good times with the Pugh's! We need to hang out more often...

Finally...

On our way home we got so see SNOW in JULY!!!!

There was a crazy storm going on in WyomingI tried to capture pictures of the WICKED awesome rainbows [yes plural]~

We then stayed at the Nieto's house in Denver!

Even though it was for a short moment it was SO GOOD to see my Bonnie again!

Legacy Lives!!!

It took long enough to get the Legacy Highway built in Utah~~
while out there I finally got to ride on it!!!It really was so amazing!!!!!
--it was Greg's virgin voyage as well--

Classic UTAH!!!!

We had our summer vacation the end of June first of July~~

~~UTAH!!!We kind of got off to a rocky start--
Our first day on the road didn't end up like we had planned due to a misunderstanding on my part... So pretty much we ended up getting to sleep in our car in a REST STOP--kind of nasty!It was really uncomfortable_ and from the HIDEOUS look on my face you can tell we didn't really get that good of some sleep. We probably slept [rather Holt] for like two hours and then hit the road again... We did make some good time.
Once we got home we hit up some of our favorite Utah spots~ Primarily~La Puente!!! And then relaxed at my parents house where some of my siblings came over to visit!!! I sure MISSED my family!!!

Grace kept use entertained by playing keep away... it sure is crazy how big the kids have gotten in the short time we've been away!!!
STOP GETTING BIG!!!!

Our next day we went to visit the Dunns and to go to church with them. Their kids have gotten so big as well! We really miss all of our friends from back at home. We just wish that all of you were out here with us!!!!
{hint....hint...COME ViSiT!!!}
We didn't have a LOT of time this vacation and wished we could have spent more time with everyone than we did...
That evening we had a Terburg family get together!!! Good times, good times. Dinner was DELICIOUS!!! And it was so good to see the whole family! I am so lucky to be a Terburg!
Joe and Morgan stopped by that night as well and introduced us to their new baby girl NOAH~ OH MY GOODNESS!!! She is ADORABLE! The whole family just LOVED her!

Good job Harkers for making such a stinking cute baby! I just wanted to squeeze her little cheeks!!!

I hit up some Ikea and Park City Outlets with my family. I have been in some SERIOUS withdrawals!!! It was so glorious and I went CRAZY!!!! I miss those stores so much! I think the family had a good time... {at least I hope everyone did} It was fun with all of the little kids~~ but I think that is because they weren't MY kids and I didn't have to be responsible and watch all of them~~

and then... BEAR LAKE!!!
On the way to Bear Lake we stopped by and visited the Bickleys!
I have missed my Amanda and Nora!

Too bad it couldn't have been longer!
But thanks to all of you who we were able to visit!

Welcome Terburgs!!!!

Holt's parents came out to visit the ends of June. They were here just for a weekend but we still had ourselves a GREAT time!!!! Holt took his Poppy fishing a few times and they LOVED it!!! Thanks to the Stuarts for letting us use their pond.
We also went to the science museum~~ as the following few pictures will show. We had a SUPERB TIME!!! The science museum out here is WONDERFUL!!! There was an interesting exhibit going on about medicine that was practiced during the Holocaust~~ rather depressing..but interesting. But there is a lot of other fun and upbeat stuff to take in at the museum~~ We took ourselves a lot of pictures and had an enjoyable time.

We also hit up Pops, because pretty much we have to take everyone out there...I think that we make it seem cooler than it actually is, because most everyone who lives out here has never even been to it...But heck~~ We still like it...

Happy Birthday Holtito!!!

Holt had his birthday this last month!!! He's turning into an old man! To celebrate we enjoyed ourselves 30% off sushi at Kangs!!! Delicious! We went totally crazy and got a ton of rolls!!!
I am not really the best at planning celebrations or birthdays at all; I asked Holt if he wanted to do a party or a get together with friends or anything and he said no....so we just chilled together. We both had work that day; but like I said~~ Hit up the sushi and then did some shopping for his special day and that was about it...

He wanted some hiking boots for his birthday...and that was pretty much all he got~~~ But it was all he asked for.
Like I said before>> I am not the best at birthdays (I really feel bad for my future children, they will be let down every year) << so when it came to Holt's present I didn't wrap it up all special and thoughtful--I actually didn't wrap it at all. Good thing that Holt is easy to please...
I am so lucky to be married to Holt and I am grateful everyday for him! I am so happy that he was born and meant just for me!!! Love you Holtito! Let's hope I can make your birthday next year a little bit better!
