This past Friday Holt and I carpooled to school/work so that we could get a start on the weekend as soon as possible! We went to Bricktown which is in downtown Oklahoma City. It was the old area of town that they have revitalized and is rather hip and happening. We hit up Bricktown when we came out here in June and are just now making it back there. We decided we would go to a movie...How to Loose Friends and Alienate People, which we had high hopes for because we are HUGE fans of Simon Pegg, but like his last movie (Run Fat Boy, Run) we were not impressed. He is best with Edgar and Nick...(people who even know who I am talking about in the first place will know who these other people are that I am mentioning as well...and all of you who have no idea what I am talking about just know that I am a total geek and move on).
We hit up Sonic (which Oklahoma is the founding state for this fast food chain); there really is one on every single block. I've never really had a full meal there before, so it was kind of like I was eating somewhere new... It was a fun evening.
Saturday was, of course, conference which we still were able to watch from the luxury of home via the internet...live streaming and everything! It was great. I was thinking that the only way we'd get to see it was by going to a church to watch it... We had one of Holt's classmates Dan and his wife Liesel and their daughter come over for some kabobs and what not and then the men went to priesthood. And today we went over to Dan's house and watch conference there along with another classmate of Holt's, Paul and his wife Amanda. It was a fun weekend, and now we are just dreading starting another week of school work and regular work...But we're taking it one week at a time!!!

That is great you were able to get conference over the internet, we take for granted that it is on channel 5!! I miss you lindy lou!
Sounds like fun! For sure call us when you are here for Christmas. We will make it happen!
good to know about that movie. we love the pegg. it was getting poor ratings on rottentomatoes.com & i was holding out hope, but i won't be wasting my $ on it now! especially when i can watch his stuff with nick over and over and over and still laugh as hard as i did the first time i saw it. i am glad you are having so much fun in oklahoma! yay!
