Pioneer Day!

I like having days off of work no matter what...It was fun to spend the day with my dear sweet husband. We were going to see a movie...that didn't happen. What we did do was go down to the gateway and spend a good portion of the afternoon at the apple store. Holt got suckered in (by myself and my apple working brother...) to buying a new computer. It is AWESOME!!! But Holt was really in need of one because the one he currently has overheats and just shuts off, plus it is a brand that I had never even heard of before I met Holt. But with him going to law school he needs to Elle Woods it up and become smart by purchasing an apple laptop (don't you love that montage in Legally Blond...buying an apple computer will make you succeed! We'll see!) I also got to get me some delicious sushi that day so I was HAPPY!!!!

That night we went over to the Clarks for a lovely BBQ. It was delicious! And fun to hang out. We love their kids...Like I have said, Holt turns into putty around Addy. But no one can really help it...She is so freaking cute! We had some nummy dutch oven potatoes and the whole bit, domestic Erin doesn't mess...

We let off some wicked awesome fireworks and just hung out for the rest of the night. Sadly the next day I had to go to work so we had to cut the evening a little bit shorter than we would've liked. We wanted to play some 5 Crowns so I could dominate!!!! But it was a fun evening. I don't think I thought about the pioneers or the fact that Utah was celebrating anything in particular...I know I am a brat; but I did know that it was a good day to have off in the middle of the month. I hope that Okie has a special day off randomly like the 24th of July...We'll see!!!
